The short version. We sell one product — the $995 VoidCheck™ report. Once we start building your report, the fee is non-refundable. No exceptions. If you change your mind before we begin work, we'll refund you in full. California residents also keep their non-waivable 3-day cancellation right if invoked before report work has commenced.

Once report work has started
No refund
Once our analysts have begun building your VoidCheck report, the $995 fee is non-refundable — full stop. Substantial analyst time is committed up-front.
1. The rule — no refund once report is started
The $995 VoidCheck™ fee becomes non-refundable the moment our analyst team begins work on your report. "Report started" means any of the following has occurred:
- An analyst has opened, downloaded, or begun reviewing your submitted contract;
- We have started drafting your VoidCheck™ report file;
- Any part of the intake, contract analysis, or findings work has begun.
In practice, this typically happens within a few hours to one business day of your submission. When you upload your contract and submit intake, assume the clock has started.
2. Refund before report work starts
If you paid the $995 fee but changed your mind before our analyst team has begun work on your report, email us right away and we'll refund you 100%. See §5 for how.
3. California 3-day cancellation right
California Home Solicitation Sales Act — Civil Code §1689.5 et seq.
California residents have a non-waivable 3-day cancellation right. If you invoke it before we have started work on your report, you get a full refund. If we have already begun building your report, we may complete and deliver the report as ordered, and the fee is not refundable. Nothing in this policy waives your non-waivable rights.
4. Why we're firm on this
- The product is the report. Once it's written, it exists — we can't un-produce it. The $995 covers the analyst time and expertise that went into building it.
- Fair pricing means firm policies. A comparable legal review would cost thousands. The $995 flat fee only works if we don't refund completed work.
- We're not a law firm. VOID MY SOLAR does not provide legal services. We produce a report. What you do with the report — send it yourself, or use our attorney referral network — is up to you.
5. How to request a refund
- Email support@voidmysolar.com from the email on your account, immediately;
- Subject line: "Refund Request";
- We confirm receipt within 1 business day and check whether report work has begun;
- If report work has not yet started, refund is issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. If it has, the fee is non-refundable per §1.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of asking us for a refund, Stripe charges us a non-refundable dispute fee. Please email us first — chargebacks are slower, less effective, and may cause your account to be closed before resolution.
7. What we don't refund for
- You didn't like the findings in the report (the report is the product — we deliver the analysis, not a particular outcome);
- Your lender didn't respond the way you hoped after sending the report;
- You decided not to use an attorney from our referral network;
- You wanted a different service (e.g., attorney representation) — we don't provide legal services.
8. Disputes
Disputes about refunds are subject to the binding arbitration and class-action waiver provisions in our Terms of Service §12. Nothing in this policy waives your non-waivable rights under California consumer-protection law, including the 3-day cancellation right.
