How much does VOIDCheck™ cost?
$995. VOIDCheck™ is our formal scan of your solar contract for actionable infractions — produced by VoidCheck analysts in 3 business days. Want to try before paying? Start with the free PreCheck™ — 10 questions, no email required, instant Case Probability Score.
What checks are included in my $995 VoidCheck?
Twelve independent checks bundled into one report: (1) line-by-line contract analysis, (2) federal + state violation map (TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, HELCA, state UDAP), (3) rescission window analysis, (4) NMLS / state lender license verification, (5) CSLB / state installer license check, (6) notary registry verification, (7) PACE disclosure audit if applicable, (8) federal solar tax credit representation audit, (9) payment / amortization audit, (10) promised-savings vs. actual utility-bill reconciliation, (11) elder financial abuse screen, and (12) language-barrier / translation-compliance screen. Purchased separately from consumer attorneys and audit specialists, this would cost $3,350–$8,550. See the full breakdown →
What deliverables do I actually receive?
Nine documents, delivered as one package to your email within 3 business days: the main VoidCheck report, a formal analyst cover letter, a pre-drafted demand letter to your lender, a CFPB complaint template, a state AG complaint template, a BBB / social-media escalation kit, a 2–3 minute analyst video walkthrough, a warm intro to our vetted attorney network, and lifetime access to our watchdog hub covering ongoing lawsuits and enforcement actions against your lender and installer.
What is the difference between PreCheck and VOIDCheck?
PreCheck™ is a free 60-second self-screen that gives you a Case Probability Score. VOIDCheck™ ($995) is the formal contract analysis — analyst-reviewed, documented, and used to drive negotiation, litigation, or rescission. Most clients run PreCheck first, then VOIDCheck if their score warrants it.
What happens after I get my VoidCheck report?
You have two paths. DIY: send the report to your lender yourself — most people do this and it works. The report typically triggers the lender to open negotiations, reduce your balance, or rescind the loan entirely. Attorney network: we can refer you to vetted consumer-protection attorneys who will send the report on their letterhead and handle the follow-up. Their fees are typically a few hundred dollars — not the $5K–$20K you'd pay to fight this from scratch.
What if I already made a lot of payments?
Past payments don't disqualify you from cancellation. In many cases we can also seek refunds or credits as part of the resolution — depending on the violations in your specific contract and your state's consumer protection statutes.
Can I still cancel after the 3-day rescission period?
Yes. The 3-day rescission window only applies to certain types of cancellations. Misrepresentation, fraud, forged disclosures, predatory financing, performance shortfalls, and many other grounds all create cancellation rights that exist independent of — and long after — the rescission period.
What if I financed through Mosaic, GoodLeap, Sunrun, or similar?
We've handled cases against every major solar lender and installer. The financing partner doesn't change the cancellation grounds — our team knows the specific playbooks of each major financier and has documented patterns we can leverage.
Is VOID MY SOLAR a law firm?
No. VOID MY SOLAR is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. We produce one product: the $995 VoidCheck™ — an official infraction scan of your solar contract, signed by our analyst team. You can send the report to your lender yourself, or use our vetted attorney network to send it for you.
How much does this cost end-to-end?
Two prices, that's it. PreCheck™ is free (60-second self-screen). VOIDCheck™ is $995 — the official report of findings, delivered in 3 business days. After that: send the report to your lender yourself (free), or use our vetted attorney network to send it for you (typically a few hundred dollars). We don't provide legal services or run cancellations ourselves. Get VoidCheck →
How long does it take?
Most cancellations resolve in 30–180 days. Complex cases involving litigation or specific lender disputes can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline in writing after the contract analysis.
What happens to the panels?
Depends on the resolution. In many cancellations the panels stay on the roof (you keep them, the loan goes away). In others — especially with serious install problems — we coordinate panel removal as part of the resolution. We cover both options in the case plan.
Will my credit be affected?
If your credit has already been impacted by missed solar payments or the loan being reported negatively, we typically include credit repair as part of the engagement. Cancellation itself, when handled correctly, does not damage credit.
Do you serve homeowners outside the US?
We serve homeowners in the United States. If you're outside the US and stuck in a solar contract, contact us anyway — we may be able to refer you to a partner in your jurisdiction.
Do you offer service in Spanish?
Yes. Atención completa en español. Solo indícalo en el formulario o en el email. Visit our /spanish page or just note your preference on the intake form.
